Based on Data from medical 3D scanners (ie., CT,MRI, Rotational Angiography), we extracted the isosurface of hollow organs (ie., blood vessels, ventricular system of the brain, colon, heart, etc.). With stereoscopic rendering, we generated the two, slightly transformed views through the organ, providing a true stereoscopic view, with improved depth perception. The stereoscopic effect of the images on this web page can seen through red/blue glasses (red left eye, blue right eye). While red/blue stereoscopic rendering only provides two color channels, stereoscopic rendering using CrystalEyes shutter glasses provides full color. These animations however, can not be seen through the Internet.

aneurysm neck vascular system ventricular system
View through the neck of an cerebral aneurysm to three supplying arteries. Carotid T-junction of internal carotid and anterior cerebral arteries. View through third cerebral ventricle. The entrances to the lateral ventricles can be seen in the back, while the pipe-like connection of the thalamus through the third ventricle, the adhesio interthalamica, can be seen in the foreground.
