:: Mobile Realtime Scene Acquisition

Within this project we develop a mobile scene acquisition device (SAD). We use a combination of a time-of-flight camera, a high-resolution color camera and an inertia-sensor which allow us to acquire several frames per second. Sensor data of the three modalities is integrated in realtime.

With this system the user is able to combine individual frames into a consistent scene model by freely moving through the scene. Due to this realtime approach parts of the scene which were not sampled sufficiently can be refined on the fly.
